If you live in a house, and your turbine roof ventilator gets some ice on it, an indistinct pulsing sound will result. It is far louder than you think it should be; but do not be alarmed, and instead take comfort in the transience of all things. As ice melts, so too does sound vanish in the indistinct soup of elementary subatomic particles that is the ultimate fate of the universe.
