English in Europe, Part 2

Someone told me to "have a nice trip." A French fellow declared that the phrase was about the only English he knew, so I informed him and a couple of other people about the lovely joke which continues "see you next fall!" They didn't understand so I demonstrated the other meaning of the word "trip," but I forgot to mention that "fall" also means the season which they know as l'automne. Maybe someday they'll learn the full implications.
